Susan Geasland is originally from Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where
she began her 15 years of dance training. She has experience in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, hip-hop, and aerial. Afterward, Susan attended the University of Central Oklahoma, where she earned her B.F.A. In Dance Performance. During her time there, she was a 3 year Kaleidoscope Dance Company member, the department’s student worker, and a regular choreographer and performer in various student shows. Through these organizations, she worked with guest artists from around the world, including Mike Esparanza, Larry Keigwin, and Bill Evans. Outside of her rigorous school training, Susan taught at Reclaiming Arts Dance Studio, and performed as a member of Perspectives Dance Company and Reclaim Dance Company. Currently, she is on staff with The Dance Effect convention and competition, Director of Rhythm Innovations Dance Company, and is stepping into every opportunity where she can inspire artists and challenge them to connect with something greater than themselves.
