The Dance Effect Competitions are a unique, fun, fair and positive experience. We strive to make everyone feel just as important no matter what skill level they bring to the stage. TDE offers 3 levels of competitiveness: Desire, Ambition & Legacy, as well as, an Adaptive Dance level. We also have a Solo Motivational Title in which soloist may choose to enter, a Photogenic Contest and a Most Moving Costume Contest.

We offer Free Mini Master Classes, Judges Choice Awards, Charity Dance Offs, Sportsmanship Awards, and many other awards! At TDE Nationals we offer Grand National Champion Awards, as well. You can find more details on these awards and more in the links below.

​The Dance Effect takes pride in this day being for the dancers! So we came up with Move Across the Floor. Move Across the Floor takes place before the solo awards ceremonies and allows you to do just that - Freestyle Across the Stage! We have dancers, teachers, siblings and even dance dads take part in the fun! This is a favorite to all that attend TDE Competitions! You don't want to miss it!

The Dance Effect Judges are handpicked! TDE hires Judges who believe in building the dancers up while still giving them positive developmental feedback. The Judges verbal critiques will accompany a video of the routine within a couple days of competition.
